For years I’ve been selling bags on eBay to raise money for Irish missions. (Check out my Irish Missions page). I’m not sure why I chose military inspired messenger bags and back packs to sell. Maybe because I like to read and I like something sturdy to carry my books around in. Maybe it’s because Jack Bauer uses one of these sweet bags. Maybe it’s because bags are “one size fits all” so I don’t have to deal with accepting very many returns on eBay.
Whatever the case, I really want to give a messenger bag to one of my cool blog readers. (That’s you. You’re cool!) Why? I’m hoping that whenever you use your cool new messenger bag, you’ll be reminded to pray for a move of God in Ireland.
So what do you have to do? Just post a comment on this post and tell me what you’d use it for. School? Work? Books? Your laptop? The other thing you’ll have to do is click that little retweet button on the left and tell your friends. That’s it! At the end of the week, my seven year old son will randomly pick a winner from the comments section and I will reveal the name of that person in a blog post with instructions on how to claim your new bag. If you’re worried that you’re going to miss the post that reveals the winner, there’s a subscription link at the bottom of this post. (Or click the RSS button at the top of the page.)
Here’s a picture of that awesome bag. Don’t forget to pray for Ireland!

I would use the bag for work. I can’t really tell from the picture, but it looks like the bag would accomodate my Bible, calendar, clip board with visitation information, clergy group/minstry team folder.
Very cool Lee!
No idea what I’d use it for. Depends what fits best. Certainly my Kindle, iPod, and maybe some real paper books. Laptop if it would fit well. Send me one and I’ll let you know! 😉
I’ll pray for Ireland either way 🙂
i really enjoy the messenger bag and would use it to tote my macbook around. I have one similar to it that i enjoy. But having this one would allow both of my boys to have a messenger bag and i wouldn’t have to hear them fighting over who gets one.
i tried to retweet but got an error message.
I have a son’s birthday coming up and would love to give him this bag.
I’d use it for everything!!! I have been looking for a good, nice messenger bag to carry stuff around in. After looking on Ebay I may get one there if I don’t win here.
Love the bag. Need the bag. I haul TWO laptops up to my office everyday; plus a couple of file folders, plus my Bible, plus a jangle of post office box keys that are must-haves to get one’s mail in our town. Every Day. (two laptops, cuz my personal one is a mac, and the one my bosses got me a year ago is a Dell).
Have to be honest though, this is a way-cool bag, and (ok, being really honest here), I have a bag-thing. Some/LOTS [of] women have a ‘shoe-thing’. Not me. I have a bag-thing. And Green, yes even a camo design green, is my favorite color. So, this honesty part is to say, I may end up carrying it as a purse! And it’s so great, people will ask me where I got it, and I can send them to your spot on Ebay! 🙂
And Ireland? My favorite. And I’ve wanted to go my whole entire life. And we’re actually saving for it now! Yeee ha! So prayers for Ireland are kind of a given with me.
I would use it to put the mounds of paperwork and my laptop in for when I am working on the legal paperwork for our nonprofit organization for Children! I would love this bag! While I am working on my ministry, I can be praying for yours!
I would use the bag to look fashionable while I am lugging my office around with me. The great thing about using this messenger bag is that since it is fashionable…people will undoubtedly ask me where I got it…to which I would be able to respond and help you with raising awareness for your Ireland cause. How’s that?
I would use it to impress my wife with my style and it would make her fall in love with me more.
I’m not sure what I would carry in it, probably laptop & Bible so I can study & write on the go. One thing I am sure is my hubby & I will be fighting over whose toys go in the bag! lol
I would definitely use it to carry my Bible and a bunch of other books like Spurgeon’s “the treasury of David”, which is a big book.
I would carry my choir and Worship music to church,so I don’t have to throw it in my purse and wrinkle it.
It does look like a pretty cool bag! Think I’d use it for general university transportation… I always have trouble fitting in the various books, lunch, paper, netbook, and other bits and bobs needed into a bag, but that one looks like it’d fit ’em all in perfectly.
Cool! I want the bag in the picture 🙂
I would use the bag to keep my spiral notebook I got in Germany a week ago. This would give me the ablilty to say that I have a bag like Jack Bauer with a foriegn object in it.
I would use to carry my Kindle (DX) around, and even use while riding my bike! Thanks for the chance to win it.
i have been looking for a new messenger bag since my old one has begun to wear out and holes are beginning to appear in the bottom of it. so i guess it will just replace that one. lately the contents have included: one (1) notebook, one (1) pocket nasb bible, one (1) orange, one (1) oat and honey granola bar, and one (1) water bottle. depending on the size, it will probably carry the same contents plus or minus.
thanks for this opportunity and thanks for your heart for ireland.
Boy that messenger bag looks alot like the one many QCA Youthworkers have but it has the logo of The NET on it. I would use it to bring my laptop, and other books to tote around along with all the chargers, wireless gadgets of sorts…maybe even an old school pen and paper.
But what I would do if I get picked is to have a cool logo of some sorts embroidered on the side with http://www.leebezotte.com on the side to get all kinds of cool traffic to your blog…yep pick me!
I would use it for my laptop…just got a new MBP 15 incher and it needs a home 🙂
oh and by the way…those bags are really nice…I saw some of the ones PScott had and you can’t find good ones like that around much.
